Tomato: Wine Jug
Wine Jug is a gorgeous old-fashioned-looking rarity. The plant produces heavy yields of 3-9 oz., dark red pear-shaped fruits with very good, rich, tomatoey flavors. The tomatoes are streaked and spotted with bronze and green markings. They are fantastic for pastes, sauces, and salads. The fruits keep well and are resistant to cracking. Developed by Brad Gates at Wild Boar Farms, Napa, California.
