Tomato: Large Barred Boar
Flattened beefsteak fruit is brown with metallic green stripes and weighs 8-12 ounces. Like most dark tomatoes, this is one of the first to ripen each season. It grows fairly stocky and not as tall as most making it a good choice for large containers. Good choice for marginal tomato climates. Very meaty brick-red flesh that is very flavorful with that old-time tomato flavor we all love. A Brad Gates creation.
